About
For over two decades, I worked in the media industry, first as a journalist at Southern Metropolis Daily, one of China’s most renowned newspapers, and later as the Content Director for fashion and lifestyle at NetEase, a leading internet company. My career revolved around observing and documenting other people’s lives—tracking trends, capturing cultural shifts, and showcasing the ever-changing world around us. Yet, amidst all this, I rarely paused to reflect on my own life or nurture my own creative spirit.
Then came 2021. The world stood still as the pandemic confined us to our homes. It was during this time of isolation that I picked up a paintbrush again. I began painting in oils, rekindling a long-lost connection with art and building an entirely new inner world—one shaped by creativity, beauty, and self-expression.
I was trained in fine arts at the Southwest University Art Department, but after graduation, my career in media led me away from painting. Yet, when I finally returned to it after so many years, I found myself embracing it with a newfound passion and depth.
I started asking myself: What truly moves me? What brings me joy? What makes me feel present and alive? Is it the quiet beauty of everyday life? The simple pleasure of arranging freshly picked wildflowers? The ability to capture and express fleeting moments through painting?
I find endless inspiration in the small things—flowers, plants, vegetables, fruits, and the ordinary objects that fill our daily lives. I cherish the delicate, transient beauty of each moment and bring them into my paintings.
I paint tiny tulips and crabapple blossoms. I paint fresh cherries in spring, lemons in summer, a solitary tree in autumn, and roses in winter. Through the changing seasons, I seek to preserve the world’s quiet yet radiant beauty on canvas.
Art, to me, is a refuge. In a world filled with noise, pressure, and daily distractions, it offers a space of stillness and wonder. It allows us to step away from reality, to immerse ourselves in beauty, and to reconnect with what truly matters.
Thank you for taking the time to discover my work. I hope that through art, we can all learn to embrace beauty, love ourselves a little more, and find joy not only in paintings but in the simple moments that make life extraordinary.
